About the program

The AgriScience Program is a program under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

The program aims to accelerate the pace of innovation by providing funding and support for pre-commercial science activities and cutting-edge research that benefits the agriculture and agri-food sector and Canadians.

There are 2 components:

  1. AgriScience – Clusters component: Proposals are intended to mobilize industry, government and academia through partnerships, and address priority themes and horizontal issues that are national in scope. Applications for Clusters closed as of February 1, 2018.
  2. AgriScience – Projects component: A single project or a smaller set of projects that would be less comprehensive than a Cluster. Applications for Projects closed as of July 8, 2022.

If approved, support is available in the form of non-repayable contributions and/or collaborative support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research scientists.

The program ends March 31, 2023, or until funding has been fully committed.
