About the Program

Get a wage subsidy to cover up to 70% of the costs of a work term placement, to a maximum of $7,000 per placement, when you hire a post-secondary student in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and business programs. Maximum coverage is for first-year students or those in under-represented groups.

The Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), supports partnerships between employers and post-secondary education institutions, creating more work-integrated learning placements for students enrolled in post-secondary studies across Canada. This program is funded by the Federal Government (Employment and Social Development Canada, ESDC) and delivered by the Canadian Council for Aviation & Aerospace, one of 9 delivery partner organizations.
